Oh no!! There's chaos in the land of fairies!!! Tinker bell has fallen for the dark side ;)

Typhoon Chaba left the area in time for us to have a rain free night. Typhoon Trio had a lot of fun trick or treating and we were very lucky to have Papi with us too! The last time Papi was home for Halloween, Milk Monster was dressed up as a pumpkin in Mami's belly.  This year Mr. K went as Dark Vader, Miss R went a Tink and Milk Monster didn't want to wear his costume so he wore his favorite halloween shirt. 

We had a lot of fun living vicariously through Typhoon Trio's Halloween adventure!!

I'm so excited! I was very flattered that Ms. Emily, the fabulous creator & designer of  Whichgoose chose ME to do a product photography session. What is Whichgoose, you ask? It's a shop with the most gorgeous vintage inspired hair accessories! Her products are designed for woman but there are designs that would be great for a little princess!
I was honored to do the product photography session for Emily. It was a fun day of makeup artistry, hair styling and photography. I'm 28 and I left my day job as a graphic designer in January of this year to create hair accessories on Etsy full-time.

how long have you been making hair accessories?

Since 2008.

and when your not designing?

I'm sleeping! But I do like to get out and go to thrift shops and antique malls looking for new ideas and supplies. Also, I've got a terrific boyfriend that takes me out to dinner sometimes :) 

your style?

I guess it's natural ... with twists of vintage flair ... hints of fairy tales and lore.

hopes for the future? (for business and life)

I'd like to have my own *separate from the house* studio --- maybe a shipping assistant -- but really, things are great just as they are now. I'd love to be able to continue doing what I love for a living!

Hello my dear friends.

Sorry it's been a while. Things have been busy and without a second vehicle it's been interesting getting things done. I have been spending a lot of time in my office area because of this I thought it was about time to get an assistant. Welcome Sun (orange koi) and Rising (orange and black koi). They are wonderful assistants! They keep me company when I'm editing and they work for pelts! Which is great for the budget.  I think they are beautiful and they are great to watch when I need a little break from editing. Rising and Sun love to hang out in the bubbles. I guess it must feel like a wonderful massage for them. Milk Monster has tried to take them out on a couple of occasions and share his goldfish with them. I guess he must think they need some company ;)   My Nishikigoi are 6" long so they are approx a year old and are called "Tosai" due to their age. If you are interested in purchasing koi while on Okinawa, the pet store is located at the junction of HWY 58 and HWY 23 between Kadena AB and Camp Lester. The building has a black sign and koi painted on it. You can't miss it =)

Miss C is the winner of the first Kawaii Okinawa Baby Contest held on Rising Sun Memories' page on Facebook. Little Miss C was so much fun to photograph.
